Contest Rules 1. Caught legally by a club member in good standing. For a Family Membership this includes a spouse and children under 18. Fish must be caught with a hook and line and meeting Florida size requirements. 2. Fish must be taken in the
following area:
Longitudinal line 81 05.00 (North-South) through Cape Sable, East to
Card Sound bridge and the North side of US 1. 3. Contest is by length. Measure fish in accordance with Florida fishing regulations (total or fork), round up to the nearest 1/8". Total length is the straight line distance from the most forward part of the head, with the mouth closed, to the furthest tip of the tail compressed or squeezed together while the fish is lying on it's side.
4. There are 4 separate contests. January, February, March and Winter season (best of the 3 months). 5. E-mail a picture and information of your entry to Ed Stell at ed.stell@a-zwww.com and a copy to Carolyn MacDonald at Carolyn@TeamMac.us to be posted on our club website. (Please send pictures in .jpg format.) There will be merchandise prizes for monthly and overall winners. Awards will be presented at the membership meeting following the end of each contest. April meeting will be March and Winter season winners. Winners will be expected to have a story "How and Where". |
