Contest Rules

1. Caught legally by club member or family member (family membership) in good standing hook and line, meeting Florida size requirements.

2. Contest is by length. Measure fish in accordance with Florida fishing regulations (total or fork), round up to the nearest 1/8". Total length is the straight line distance from the most forward part of the head, with the mouth closed, to the furthest tip of the tail compressed or squeezed together while the fish is lying on it's side.

3. There are 4 separate contests. January, February, March and  Winter season (best of the 3 months).

Merchandise prizes for monthly winners. In addition thanks to Jack Macormick of the Island Grill, one monthly winner will also win a gift certificate. 1st Place trophies for overall winners. Awards will be presented at the membership meeting following the end of each contest. April meeting will be March and Winter season winners. Winners will be expected to have a story "How and Where".
